The Structure Of PVC
Feb 05, 2018

So what is PVC in the end? PVC, the full name of Polyvinylchlorid, the main component of polyvinyl chloride, while adding other ingredients to enhance its heat resistance, toughness, ductility and so on. The top layer of this surface film is a lacquer, with the main component in the center being PVC and the bottom layer being a back-coated adhesive. It is a favorite, popular and widely used synthetic material in today's world. Its global usage ranks second among all composites. According to statistics, in 1995 alone, there were about 5 million tons of PVC produced in Europe, while its consumption was 5.3 million tons. In Germany, the production and consumption of PVC average 1.4 million tons. PVC is being manufactured and applied worldwide at a 4% growth rate. The growth of PVC in Southeast Asia is particularly significant for several times, thanks to the urgent need of all countries in Southeast Asia to carry out infrastructure construction. Among the materials that can produce three-dimensional surface films, PVC is the most suitable material.

PVC can be divided into soft PVC and hard PVC. Hard PVC accounts for about 2/3 of the market, soft PVC accounted for 1/3. Soft PVC is generally used for flooring, ceilings and leather surface, but because soft PVC contains softener (which is the difference between soft PVC and hard PVC), easy to become brittle, not easy to save, so its use has been limited. Hard PVC does not contain softener, so good flexibility, easy to shape, not brittle, non-toxic and pollution-free, save a long time, so it has great development and application value. The following are referred to as PVC. The essence of PVC is a vacuum plastic film, used in the surface of various types of panel packaging, it is also known as the decorative film, with plastic film, used in building materials, packaging, medicine and many other industries. Building materials industry accounted for the largest share of 60%, followed by the packaging industry, there are a number of other small-scale application of the industry.
